Who is Good Shepherd?

Good Shepherd works with the community to help people feel safe, well connected and economically empowered. 

At AMP, we can refer customers to Good Shepherd’s specialist team of financial wellbeing experts who can support you during challenging periods and times of need. They aim to support people struggling with their finances before they find themselves in a financial crisis.

 

How they can help you

If you’re experiencing financial stress or hardship, have difficulty managing your money or feeling vulnerable at home and would like some extra support, Good Shepherd can help you through these challenging times by addressing the root cause of what may be leading to your financial stress and working with you to find a solution. 

Good Shepherd offers:

Financial hardship counselling

Access a free and confidential service if you have difficulty paying bills as a result of relationship breakdowns, financial abuse, poor money management or mental health issues.

Hardship support

Get help for you and your family in tough times, including access to social workers and links to vital support services such as family violence or mental health.

Financial wellbeing

Chat over the phone with Good Shepherd experts to help you understand your options, learn how to manage debt and make informed decisions about your finances.

Financial education

Build your money management skills and make informed financial choices by attending workshops like the Financial Capability and Wellbeing program.
