As trustee of the Super Directions Fund and Wealth Personal Superannuation and Pension Fund, every year we’re required to assess the performance of the super and retirement products we oversee, to make sure they continue to promote members’ financial interests.
Our product determination is what we produce to show the results of our assessment and must be provided for each superannuation product offered.
What this means for AMP members
We want to make sure members have access to competitive products and investment outcomes, operational excellence and a member led culture with well-managed business operations supporting them.
The product determination and summaries provided here are the assessments we’ve done, looking into each AMP product available to members, to make sure they meet these standards.
We assess these outcomes using our own strategy (more on that below), as well as a set of rules governed by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) that make sure the financial interests of members are being promoted.
A message from Tony Brain
Chair, N.M. Superannuation Proprietary Limited
On behalf of the Trustee Board, I thank you for your continued trust and support of AMP. Over 1 million Australians entrust AMP with their super – and the Trustee Board is responsible for ensuring we make all decisions in your best interests. I can assure you this is a responsibility we take extremely seriously.
We are dedicated to acting in members’ best interests and the Trustee Board closely monitors fund performance. We have defined strategic objectives to support member outcomes and we’ve set out how these objectives will be achieved in our business plan. Our ongoing improvement program will continue throughout 2021 and it should provide you with increased confidence that your super is in good hands, with our primary focus to help you live your best retirement.
The Product Determinations and Summaries provided here focus on presenting members with an overview of our (the Trustee’s) findings for how each product is achieving the desired member outcomes. We fully support this new member outcomes framework as it imposes stronger obligations on all super trustees to strengthen their focus on delivering quality outcomes for their members.
Thank you for choosing us to help you manage your superannuation, to achieve your retirement goals. Your feedback is always welcome.
