AMP’s philanthropic arm, the AMP Foundation, is putting the call out to Australians who are making meaningful and inspiring contributions to solving some of the country’s major community issues, to apply for a share of the A$1 million in grants to be made available as part of the 2022 AMP Tomorrow Fund.
The grants are designed to help individuals who are working on a project that has positive community impact but needs a financial boost to take it to the next level. This highly accessible grants program, now in its ninth year, offers grants of between A$5,000 and A$100,000 to Australians working in any field – from science, social innovation and disability support to medical research, the environment, education and more.
Head of AMP Foundation Helen Liondos said:
"AMP is incredibly proud through the AMP Foundation to help bring great ideas to life, which will make our community more accessible and connected, as well as safer and healthier.
“Now, more than ever, Australians are challenging the status quo – they are creating innovative solutions to address our most entrenched social and environmental issues. The AMP Tomorrow Fund can help support these amazing people amplify their impact, by giving their funding project the financial boost that it needs to go to the next level.
“We want to remove the barrier of accessing funding. This unique program has no categories – it is open to Australians of any age, from any state, working on any social or environmental issue. What successful applicants will share is a commitment to building a better tomorrow and they will have taken tangible steps towards their goal.”
Last year, the AMP Tomorrow Fund provided grants to 27 individuals – known as Tomorrow Makers. Their projects reflected the major social challenges faced over the last few years and included educators, inventors, social innovators, scientists, linguists and more. You can read about them on the AMP Foundation’s Tomorrow Makers profile page.
Applications for AMP’s Tomorrow Fund are open until Monday 4 April 2022.
