North, one of Australia’s leading retirement and investment platforms, has appointed Emma Kirk as Head of Strategic Growth, further strengthening its senior distribution leadership team as it continues to build momentum across platforms, managed portfolios and retirement solutions.
Reporting to Kris Goodwin, Director Growth & Wealth Distribution, Emma Kirk will lead North's strategic sales and partnership agenda across North, MyNorth Lifetime, MyNorth Guarantee, Managed Portfolios, and the AMP Managed Funds, with a focus on deepening relationships with advice licensees and strategic partners.
The appointment comes as North continues to invest in its distribution capability to support growing adviser demand and accelerate growth across its platform and retirement offerings.
Emma Kirk brings more than 30 years of experience across the wealth management value chain, spanning platforms, superannuation, funds management and financial advice. Most recently, she has served as Regional Director, Stockbroking and Private Wealth at Dimensional Fund Advisors, where she has been responsible for growing relationships across stockbroking and private wealth firms nationally.
Prior to joining Dimensional, Emma Kirk spent six years at Magellan Financial Group in a senior distribution role covering stockbrokers, share-trading platforms and self-directed investors. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles at ANZ Wealth Australia and Asgard Wealth Solutions, where she led new business across the Securitor and Licensee Select dealer groups.
Importantly, Emma Kirk began her career at AMP, holding roles within AMP Financial Planning and AMP Adviser Services, providing her with a deep understanding of the adviser ecosystem and North's strategic growth opportunities.
Kris Goodwin, Director, Growth & Wealth Distribution at AMP said Emma Kirk's appointment reflected North's continued focus on building a world-class distribution team and strengthening relationships across the advice industry.
“Emma is one of the most respected distribution leaders in Australian wealth management, with deep experience across platforms, advice, investments and superannuation. She brings a powerful combination of strategic relationship management, commercial acumen and a genuine understanding of what advice businesses need to grow and deliver better client outcomes.
"North continues to strengthen its senior distribution ranks and invest in our capability, including growing our National Business Manager team to support advisers and licensees across the country. Emma's appointment is an important part of that strategy.
"Her deep licensee relationships and extensive experience across the wealth management landscape will play a critical role as we continue to grow North and deliver on our strategic growth ambitions."
Edwina Maloney, Group Executive, Platforms at AMP said the appointment highlighted North's commitment to partnering with advisers and delivering market-leading solutions.
“Emma joins North at an exciting time as adviser demand for high-quality platform, retirement and managed portfolio solutions continues to grow.
"She brings more than three decades of experience across every part of the wealth value chain and a proven track record of building trusted partnerships and driving growth.
"Importantly, Emma knows AMP well, having started her career here. Returning with the breadth of experience she has gained across advice, platforms, investments and superannuation makes her exceptionally well placed to help drive the next phase of North's growth.”
