Competitive fees

How much you pay, will depend on how you are invested. Water Corporation Super Plan members pay:

  • 0.00% pa administration fee (up to a maximum of $0 pa)
  • $0.70 weekly member fee ($3 charged monthly)
  •  0.015% pa trustee fee
  • Paid from super fund's assets: This amount is currently made up of an estimated administration fee and costs of 0.049% pa and nil trustee expense recovery. This amount is variable and is not deducted from your account balance.
  • 0.00% to 1.59% pa investment fees and costs and 0.00% to 0.89% pa transaction costs. Please refer to the Investment Guide or the table below for the investment fees and costs and transaction costs for your specific investment option(s).

Additional member activity related fees may apply, such as transaction cost allowance, advice fees for personal advice, or insurance fees. Refer to your welcome letter in conjunction with the fees and costs section in the product disclosure statement and member guide for more information.

How much could a reduction in fees save you?

Small differences in both investment performance and fees and costs can have a substantial impact on your long-term returns.  For example, paying total annual fees and costs of 2% of your account balance rather than 1% could reduce your final return by up to 20% over a 30-year period (for example, reduce it from $100,000 to $80,000).

How your fees might look like

Water Corporation MySuper is the default investment option for the Water Corporation Superannuation Plan. It takes a lifestages approach, automatically applying different levels of risk to your investments, dependent on your age.

To demonstrate we’ve used the Water Corporation MySuper 1970s option in the fee table below.

Water Corporation MySuper 1970s option   Balances of $50,000
Administration fee and costs

$36 pa ($0.70 per week)

+ 0.00% pa

+ 0.049% pa

You will be charged $36 pa regardless of your balance.

Plus, for every $50,000 of your account balance you will be charged $0 in administration fees (up to a maximum of $0).

Plus, for every $50,000 you will be charged a trustee fee of $7.50 and $24.50 will be paid from super fund assets (this is not deducted from your account).

Plus, Investment fees and costs 0.57% pa   And, you will be charged or have deducted from your investment $285 pa in investment fees and costs.
Plus, Transaction costs 0.05% pa   And, you will be charged or have deducted from your investment $25 pa in transaction costs.
Equals, Cost of product $378   If your balance was $50,000 at the beginning of the year, then for that year you will be charged fees and costs of $378(i)(ii) for the super product.
