What is the default transfer limit?

If you want to transfer money to another person from your AMP Bank account, there’s a default limit of $5,000 per payee account per business day.

What can I increase my transfer limit to?

You can increase this limit up to $250,000 per payee account per business day within My AMP. You are also able to lower the limit below $5,000 within My AMP.

How long will it take to increase my transfer limit?

Increase requests up to $25,000 are instantanious, however requests over $25,000 will be reviewed for added security and updates usually take 3 business days.

If you need to transfer large funds urgently, you can call us on 13 30 30 to authorise a one off transfer up to $100,000.

How to increase your transfer limit in My AMP

Please note that increasing your daily limits may increase your liability for unauthorised transactions.
 
  1. Login or register for My AMP
  2. Select the Banking tab
  3. Choose Manage payees and accounts from the I want to menu
  4. Scroll through to your external accounts and click on the Pencil icon next to daily transfer limit
  5. Update your daily limit (max. $250,000).

How to increase your transfer limit in the My AMP app

Please note that increasing your daily limits may increase your liability for unathorised transactions.
 
  1. Open or download the My AMP app
  2. Select Pay in the Navigation bar
  3. Choose Pay anyone and select the accounts you want to transfer From and To
  4. Your daily transfer limit will be displayed on screen. Click Change to update your daily limit. 
  5. Update your daily limit (max. $250,000).

Can I increase my daily transfer limit if I don't have access to My AMP?

Yes, you can also increase your daily limit by completing the appropriate 'Register ro cancel an External Bank Account' form and sending it back to us.
