Despite a challenging period, we’re planning to continue with important changes to create a better, simpler future.

This includes the sale of our mature and life insurance business, AMP Life, first announced on 25 October 2018, and upcoming changes to AMP products. Since we announced the sale, we have been carefully working through the process of separating these two parts of our business. Our goal throughout has been to ensure these changes lead to better outcomes for clients, with no interruption to the services we provide.

AMP Life is preparing to transition to its new owner, Resolution Life. As part of this process, it is important our customers have the right information. To learn more about the transition, click here.

The proposed changes to AMP products mean we’ll have fewer, larger super funds. Our business will be simpler. So we’ll be able to make improvements and pass on the benefits to clients more easily.

We have been carefully monitoring disruption caused by the COVID-19 virus, particularly the volatility in financial markets. We are confident that we’re well prepared to manage the changes through this period.

What's changing

AMP clients with a super, retirement or insurance product that’s part of this change will soon receive communications from us explaining the planned changes. Then, on or around 15 May, we’ll move all the products that are part of this change under one trustee and super fund. There’s no change to North platform products.

It’s important to read any communications you receive from us to understand what these changes mean. It’s also important to note that this move is subject to final approval from the trustee and regulators, and it will only go ahead if it is considered in our members’ best interests.

Need to know

Processing delays

When the move takes place, there may be delays of up to eight business days for processing transaction requests (such as contributions, withdrawals, premium payments, investment switches, insurance changes and account changes). However, you will still be able to make these changes without change to their effective date. Clients should check their letter to find out more about specific cut-off dates for requests.
