Monthly payments Provide help to maintain the regular expenses of your household if you, or a member of your household, experiences an illness or injury
Lump sum payment Provides help to pay down debts and maintain future household expenses if you experience an illness or injury and can never work again, or upon death

AMP MyLife offers more than traditional insurance.

We want to help you to enjoy all that life has to offer, keep you healthy, and help you get back on your feet if anything goes wrong with your health.

AMP MyLife helps you find a doctor or specialist, and will even make the phone call for you, while taking some of the stress out of finding a school, child care service or aged care service. It encourages you to take stock of how healthy you are and gives you access to a portal of health-related information and support. AMP MyLife can save you time and money.

You have access to everyday services which are available from day one of your cover.

In the event of claim, there are also additional services which, at your case manager's discretion, may be made available to you to support your recovery.

The support services do not form part of your AMP MyLife policy. We reserve the right to change the nature and type of support services and the circumstances in which they are provided at any time. Give life a health-kick start with our Wellness Assessment

The key to kick-starting a healthy lifestyle is to first take stock of where your health is. We provide access to a Wellness Assessment that gives you a starting point to benchmark, the chance to learn about your good habits, and set goals you can reach.

After completing the Wellness Assessment, a personalised report is created to help you gauge how healthy you are compared to others your age, and suggests the next best steps to ensure you’re looking after your well-being.

When you applied for your AMP MyLife policy, you may have consented to us sharing your details with Bupa Medical. If you did, we’ve saved you the hassle of re-entering your information again and done as much as we can for you. When you first log into the Wellness Portal, you’ll see some of this information on your personal dashboard. Some of your data will also appear in your Wellness Assessment, making it faster and easier for you to view your full online Wellness Report.

The Wellness Assessment takes about 15-20 minutes and we’ll email you a username and token to register.

Do you or a family member need a general practitioner, physiotherapist, psychologist, or an MRI scan? Your AMP Health Concierge can find, and book, an appointment for just about any type of health service you’ll need.

Make time to make an appointment

If you need to find specialists for a health issue, you might put off the tiring task of making all those phone calls to find a provider who can fit you in. Now, you only have to make one.

Talk to the AMP Health Concierge and they’ll take the legwork out of finding and booking your next health-related appointment. Simply explain what kind of help you, or any member of your household, needs and they'll find a local provider and book the appointment for you.

As a valued AMP MyLife customer, this service is available to you at no additional cost (please note, the service does not include the cost of your consultation).

How it works

  1. Call or email UHG.
  2. Explain where you live and the services you’re seeking.
  3. Your AMP Health Concierge will call you back within a day with your appointment options. If you like, they can even go ahead and make an appointment for you. It's as simple as that.

AMP has partnered with Unified Healthcare Group (UHG) to provide the Health Concierge service. UHG has access to a wide network of health professionals across Australia, and will find and book specialist appointments for AMP customers.

UHG are one of Australia's fastest growing healthcare organisations, making the BRW top-50 Most Innovative Companies for three consecutive years. They have delivered a range of health solutions to corporates and government employers since 1997.

AMP has not assessed or determined the quality or suitability of the services provided, including the health care professional or health-related diagnostic services which Unified Healthcare Group have found and booked an appointment with. It does not replace the need to consult with your general practitioner or referring doctor.

Find information and tools on many health issues to help you feel more confident about your knowledge and decisions.

A wealth of health information and help

AMP MyLife gives you access to a Wellness Portal which provides a wealth of health information and help.

There are hundreds of articles which will tell you all about common health issues – what it is, the symptoms, risks, treatments and where to find more information. From acne to women’s health, you’ll find it here.

You’ll also be able to record your own health information, like your weight, blood pressure, heart rate and allergies to help you keep track of how you’re progressing. Check-up reminders can also be set up, so you don’t forget any key dates.

Discounted child care, school and aged care locators

Placing your kids in school or child care is an important decision, and aged care is even more complex, as you have to take your loved ones’ wishes and needs into account.

Researching your options is a time-consuming process. Our locator reports will do the leg work for you, in a matter of a few clicks.

As a special offer for AMP MyLife customers, school and child care locator reports are offered for $200 each, which is 20% off the normal price of $250. The aged care locator reports are offered for $250, which is 15% off the normal price of $295.

If anything was to happen to you, we’re not happy just processing your claim and paying your financial benefit. We want to help you get back on your feet. With real help.

You’ll have an AMP case manager who’ll work with you to provide the kind of help you need. We’d like to get you being and feeling as productive as you can be, at just the right pace.

Your case manager, at their discretion, may offer you additional services to support your recovery.

Putting you on the path to recovery

The road to recovery takes more than determination. You also need the support and understanding of those around you.

How we plan your recovery

We’ve recognised that to help you recover more effectively, it’s important to get you as close to the life you were living as possible.

If anything serious was to happen to you, our AMP case manager and an AMP recovery specialist will work with your medical team to develop your path to recovery. They’ll make a plan that takes your work, special skills, financial circumstances, support network, social and psychological factors into account. They’ll design a plan that will help you recover and get you back to work.

To continue to receive your monthly payments, it's important you take part in your recovery plan.

Getting you working well again

Getting back to work will help keep you, and your mind, active.

Making sure your recovery works

We recognise work is the best place to make you feel productive and be part of a community again – where you can use your skills to contribute and be stimulated.

We’ll work with your employer to make sure your skills are being utilised as much as possible. And if we feel it’ll help your recovery plan if you retrain, we’ll pay for it, whether that’s another course or business coaching.

It’s all part of developing a plan that has helping you at its centre.

A helping hand when you need it most

If you’re recovering from an illness or injury, this service provides welcome relief from household chores so you can focus on your recovery – from cleaning the house to looking after the kids, to prepping dinner and doing the laundry.

Help around the house

When you're recovering from an illness or injury, the best support you could have is the kind that's there when you need it most. Like that friend who is just a phone call away and is happy to give you real, practical help.

Recovery Assist aims to provide some extra support while you're recovering from an injury or illness. Your AMP case manager can determine if these services will aid your recovery and decide whether to setup services such as cleaning, child care, picking up the kids, or laundry services.

When you’re recovering, you need to eat well, but cooking can be a real chore. So we’ll help with healthy meals, delivered straight to your door.

Healthy and convenient meal delivery

Eating well is important for a healing body, but the efforts of shopping, prepping and cooking, can take their toll.

Your AMP case manager may arrange some free meals for you, to help you while you recover. There are limits, which will depend on your circumstances and location.

Getting you back on the road to recovery

If you’re ready to return to work, but aren’t able to drive or use public transport, we may be able to help you with transport and take care of the bill.

Helping you get back to work

When you’re recovering, driving or using public transport might not be an option. But it’s important to get you back to work.

So if your case manager determines that this will support your recovery, we’ll provide you with free transport to get you back to work and back home, with minimum fuss.

Your AMP case manager will be able to assess and help you get back on the road to recovery.
