Alex has been in the financial planning industry since 1987 when he started his career as a Life and General Agent with AMP. In 1990 Alex began working for AXA Australia (formerly National Mutual) where he performed marketing and management roles, including General Agency Manager for the Northern Territory. Alex then merged his financial planning business to lead the All Financial Services group where he has been able to further develop skills and qualifications.

Alex is a highly motivated, visible and progressive leader with over 20 years’ senior management experience. His extensive experience and reputation for developing and implementing innovative strategies that shape the future-state of businesses is reflected in the consistent and positive outcomes he achieves.

As an accomplished leader known for his analytical ability and authentic leadership to deliver the highest standards are complemented with strong attention to corporate governance and risk management that ensures balanced yet progressive outcomes for Clients.

Alex was awarded specialist accreditation by the Self Managed Super Fund (SMSF) Association in 2006; he also holds a Diploma of Financial Planning and is a Certified Financial Planner & Tax Adviser. Alex holds memberships with Financial Planning Association, Tax Institute of Australia and SMSF Association.

Outside of work Alex is a husband, father of 2 and enjoys entertaining friends and family with fine wine and great food. Other pastimes include fishing and most importantly walking his Pugalier, Millie

Philip Hancox

Phil has been an adviser with AMP Advice since 2016. Phil takes a personal interest in working with clients so that they may feel secure about their finances and are confident that they have a plan for their future.

Phil is a Private Client Adviser and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia and holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and a Bachelor of Management in Marketing.

Life is a journey with ups and downs. Phil knows well the impact that these times can have in our lives and hopes to provide guidance along the road. He aims to demonstrate genuine care and diligence to seeing great outcomes for his clients.

Outside of work Phil loves some friendly competition whether it be playing tennis or optimistically supporting the Adelaide Crows. He also enjoys relaxing with his wife Hannah at home and regularly volunteers at his local Church.

David Kuchel

He ensures that clients receive the personal attention they expect and deserve so they are well placed to reach their wealth accumulation objectives. 

David believes in developing long-term relationships and is always available to help clients adapt to changing circumstances and opportunities as they arise.

David holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of South Australia, a Diploma of Financial Planning and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. He is also a member of the Association of Financial Advisers.

In his spare time, David is a keen musician and writes and records original music with his long-time friends.

Daniel Leske

Daniel brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles in banking, superannuation, and financial advice prior to joining AMP. He has a passion for education and increasing financial literacy and combines his techincal expertise with personal attention for his clients.

He prides himself in providing holistic advice to clients when planning for their future, ensuring they have confidence in reaching their short and long-term financial and lifestyle goals.

Daniel holds more than a decade of experience in the financial services profession. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia, holds a Master of Financial Planning, Bachelor of Business and Economics, and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and has successfully passed the national financial adviser exam to meet the new industry standard.

In his personal time Daniel loves a variety of sports, has recently taken up golf, enjoys good food and wine, loves to travel and explore new destinations, and completing projects on his new house.

Sean has worked in financial services for a decade in both Australia and overseas and he brings to the table a wealth of knowledge, breadth of professional experience and a strict strategy and implementation discipline having also worked on financial remediation projects in risk and audit.

Intimately understanding the unique financial challenges facing these professionals and their families, Sean delivers tailored advice and bespoke strategies, helping his clients to turn their lifestyle and financial ambitions into reality.

Fiona Romano

Fiona has 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry in a variety of roles, in Australia and whilst travelling overseas. She is a member of the Association of Financial Adviser (AFA) and holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. She joined AMP Advice in August 2019.

Fiona enjoys working closely with clients to help them achieve and maintain their desired lifestyle goals, by putting effective financial planning strategies in place and giving her client’s a better understanding of their situation by using her professional knowledge and experience.

Outside of work, Fiona likes to travel and play sport, and she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters.

Trevor Reeves

During the past 30 years with AMP Advice Wayville Trevor has held a variety of roles including financial adviser and managerial roles in both para-planning, compliance and superannuation administration. In 1992, Trevor became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.

As a Private Client Adviser, Trevor’s role is to provide financial planning advice to clients, with the view that these clients have a close long term working relationship with Trevor, so he can help them achieve their goals and aspirations. Trevor has a particular interest in superannuation and retirement planning areas and helps people plan successfully for their long-term goals and to manage any changes that come their way. 

Away from work, Trevor enjoys travel, spending time with his wife Lesley and their two adult children, Aimee and Matthew. He is also an avid Tennis player, becoming a tennis professional in his earlier days prior to becoming a financial planner. For a number of years, Trevor was ranked No 1 in South Australia.

Steve Salvemini

Steve joined AMP Advice in 2020 and is a financial professional with over 8 years of experience as a Financial Planner. With education important to Steve, in 2019 he completed his Masters in Financial Planning.

He enjoys presenting his clients with the best possible plan for their personal situation. He also takes pride in educating his clients in what the strategy and plan provided to them will achieve and how it will improve their life going forward. Steve enjoys helping a wide range of people to successfully plan for their important life changes and goals.

Steve is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia and is a registered Tax (financial) Adviser.

As a fan, outside of work Steve enjoys a wide variety of sports, which includes football, soccer, tennis, grid iron, cricket and basketball.

Babette Woodhouse

Babette is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia and is a registered Tax (Financial) Adviser.

After 5, Babette is a PADI scuba rescue diver with her passion being in ocean conservation.

Gerry McAvoy

Gerry McAvoy is our Specialist Personal Insurance Adviser, having worked at AMP Advice Wayville since 1997. He has attained his Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and Life Risk Specialist designation and is an AFP® member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.

As the Personal Insurance Adviser, Gerry has the knowledge on the plethora of products out there, and which ones are best suited to meeting our clients’ needs. We often ask the question,                          

“you’ve insured your stuff….but what about your family?”

Gerry is looking forward to showing you that wealth protection is as important as wealth creation!

Gerry is married to Natalie, and has a son Matthew, enjoys soccer and golf. He and his family enjoy the company of family and friends, going to Adelaide United games and enjoy travelling locally and overseas as much as possible.

Kate Edwards

Kate is a Private Client Adviser and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia. Kate holds a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning and a Bachelor of Commerce and has been in the financial services profession since 2010 when she joined AMP Advice Wayville.

Kate joined our team as an Adviser Assistant, later becoming a Para Planner prior to her role as a Financial Planner. This enabled her to develop her skills and provided her with a strong technical basis for the provision of sound financial advice. 

Kate enjoys educating her clients about financial planning strategies in order to help her clients achieve their lifestyle goals and objectives.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys travel and scrapbooking and enjoys spending time with her husband and their young daughter.

Emma Franks

Emma has been working for AMP Advice Wayville over nine years in various roles from administering client portfolios for advisers, Executive Assistant/Director (SMSF Services) and Team Leader/Retail Services and Specialist Services team. Now a Client Relationship Manager, Emma supports advisers with new client and existing client engagement, assisting the implementation of advice with relation to superannuation, investment, SMSF, Debt and Cashflow.

Emma is passionate about assisting clients in meeting their financial goals and building long term relationships. 

Emma is currently studying for the Bachelor of Financial Planning and is looking forward to continuing her studies to expand her skills and technical knowledge in financial planning industry. 

Away from the office Emma is a keen triathlete and loves spend time outdoors and travelling.

Arnold Idicula 



Arnold joined AMP Advice in 2019. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration and is currently pursuing further studies to become a certified financial planner.

Arnold is passionate about learning and understanding people’s needs, values and goals from all walks of life, and in turn helping them develop a strategic plan that can lead to the fulfilment of those needs, values and goals.

Outside of work, Arnold enjoys mountain hiking and frequently takes part in long distance running.

Malcolm Gee

Malcolm’s role is to lead the AMP Advice Wayville and Perth business and to ensure that our high standards of client service are continually met. 

With over 25 years experience in financial services he has seen first hand the difference a great adviser/client relationship can make and more importantly the joy and sense of achievement clients have as they reach their goals.

With the support of a highly skilled adviser and support teams he looks forward to leading this business in the future and helping more Australians achieve their goals.

Sally Thomson

Lead Client Relationship Manager


Sally is the Lead Client Relationship Manager (CRM) at AMP Advice Wayville. Sally leads our team of support staff that includes, client and retail services, marketing, and our concierge team. 

Sally has held several different roles since commencing in the financial services industry with AXA Australia in Melbourne in 2002. Sally returned to her hometown of Adelaide in 2007 to take on the role of Digital Business Consultant (AMP) before moving in to her current role in 2014.

Sally enjoys working closely with financial advisers, the CRM team, colleagues, and clients in order to assist with the advice process. In addition, Sally enjoys training and mentoring the team in order to assist our staff to achieve their own goals.

Outside of work, Sally’s passions are spending time with her family and friends and planning the next holiday!

Mandy Camac

Client Relationship Manager


Mandy joined the team in 2018 and has over 11 years' experience in the Financial Services industry. Starting out as a Customer Service Officer and working up to Customer Service Supervisor she enjoys focusing on great service and compliance.

Now as one of our Client Relationship Managers, Mandy enjoys building rapport with clients, working amongst a great team and being able to support our Advisers in being able to give their clients the best possible outcome to achieve their goals.

Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband and two children and planning their yearly getaway to Phuket in Thailand. Mandy also keeps fit with Pilates and taking her two boisterous but lovable Labradors for walks (although, they mostly walk her!).

Thea Duckworth

Client Relationship Manager (Business Support)


Thea joined the AMP Advice Wayville team in 2013 as an Assistant, soon moving to the role of Executive Assistant to the General Manager. Thea’s current role of Executive Assistant provides support to the Head of AMP Advice Wayville and the broader Adviser team. 

During this time Thea has gained extensive knowledge of the business and enjoys assisting her colleagues by developing and improving processes.

Thea loves the beach, enjoys spending time outdoors and catching up with family and friends.

Caroline Gooding

Caroline began her career in Financial Services when she joined AMP Advice Wayville in 2007 as an Adviser Assistant and completed her Diploma in Financial Planning (Financial Services). She has worked in various roles within the company including Executive Assistant, Team Leader Client Services, Marketing Coordinator and now a Client Relationship Manager (Business Support).

AMP Advice goals-based approach to financial planning and lifestyle financial planning is something Caroline is very passionate about. Caroline is also passionate about caring for our clients. Looking after them and Advisers guiding them as if they were our own family and friends – in fact many of them are. 

Caroline’s personal goals include maintaining a work/life balance – striving in and enjoying her career as well as being a mum to 3 young boys.

Sonya Hamilton

Client Relationship Manager


Sonya commenced employment with AMP Advice Wayville in February 2016 and her role involves the more transactional side of the business, processing client requests within their Super and Pension Accounts, Establishment of new accounts, working alongside Advisers on a day to day basis to keep things running smoothly and up to date.

She began her career within the Banking Financial Services Industry in 1999, working her way up the ladder from Teller to Personal and Home Lending before moving into the Back-Office side of the business. She emigrated from Scotland in 2007 and continued in the Banking Industry, before taking the change of path into Financial Planning in 2016. Sonya enjoys working in an Industry where we can make a difference to someone’s life.

Away from the office Sonya enjoys life and exploring this beautiful country with family, giving time to help at Guide Dogs SA (she is a big animal lover) and shopping like lots of other ladies.

Anthony Miller

Tony started at AMP Advice Wayville at the beginning of 2017. He helps the Concierge team and Advisers with any administration tasks that need to be done including regular scanning of documents into the IT system, maintaining stocks of documents, kitchen maintenance and finalising review minutes.

Tony enjoys being an effective and efficient part of the team and helping people to achieve outcomes.

In his spare time, Tony enjoys playing table-top games, reading about science and history and stitching embroidery projects.

Lucia Monaghan

Lucia joined AMP Advice in September 2020. She has had 14 years’ experience in the Financial planning industry.  During this time Lucia has always enjoyed building a rapport with Advisers and clients with her outstanding administration skills and caring attitude.  

Now as a Client Relationship Manager at AMP, Lucia is motivated and passionate about assisting everyone, be it clients, advisers, or work colleagues, to achieve their goals. Lucia very much appreciates being part of a team that supports and encourages each other.  

Outside of work Lucia is the proud mother of 2 children and enjoys being outdoors in her garden or going for walks, except when it is winter and then it is a good book inside.  

Ryan Peterson

Ryan has been working at AMP Advice Wayville for over 4 years and this is his first role in the Financial Planning sector.

His main jobs are assisting Reception with general tasks, scanning, the Funds Under Management report, watching stationary stocks and tidying up.His interests include Music (learning guitar), Video Games and Japanese Culture (hoping to eventually live in Japan).

Ryan's goal within the business is to be diligent at his job in all aspects.

Tahlia Reeves

Tahlia joined the team at AMP Advice in 2019 as a Client Relationship Manager with over 6 years’ experience in Customer Service. Her career within the Financial Services Industry began as a Customer Service Officer in remote locations, promoting her passion for great customer service and a focus on compliance. As a Client Relationship Manager Tahlia enjoys working as part of a fantastic team, building long term relationships with clients and supporting advisers so they can work best to achieve their client’s goals.

Tahlia is currently working towards completing both a Bachelor of Business (Finance), and Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning). She is looking forward to completing her studies and expanding her knowledge in the Financial Planning Industry.

Outside of work, Tahlia enjoys adventuring with her husband and son, scuba diving, spending time with her family and photography.

Barbara Styger

Barbara moved into the area of Financial planning with AMP Advice Wayville in 2014 after coming from a background of being a Financial and Administrative Manager in the advertising industry in South Africa for 20 years.  In this client service industry she utilised her planning, administrative and accounting skills always aware that clients are number one and as such deserve full attention to detail, minimal errors and total care.

Barbara enjoys interaction with clients and especially making sure that our clients can feel be assured that their financial needs are being handled efficiently, compliantly and with care and attention to detail.  Her passion is efficient, trustworthy organisation and the financial planning industry has plenty of scope for employees to exercise it.

Outside of work she is a dedicated family person, a proud mother and grandmother - an avid reader, enjoys watching every kind of sport, especially AFL, still goes to the gym and walks at least 8 kilometres twice a week.  Her hidden passion is seeking the meaning of life and all it entails.

Gordon Clifford

Finance Manager

Gordon has been with AMP Advice Wayville since 2000 and has been a vital part of the management team since then. Gordon’s role as Finance Manager, is to manage all aspects of the financial reporting and treasury management of the AMP advice Wayville group.

Gordon has been a member of the Chartered Accountants in Australia & New Zealand since 1979 and has worked extensively in Banking and Financial Services for over 40 years in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

Away from work Gordon is heavily involved in Surf Life Saving with over 40 years of service. He is currently a member of Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club as coaching co-ordinator of their March Past teams. He has accumulated three State, and one Australian championship in that event. He is also a beach official for South Australian surf carnivals holding the position of starter for water and surf craft events.

Emma Clarke



Emma joined the team as a receptionist for AMP Advice Wayville in 2011. 

With her friendly nature Emma likes to interact with clients whether it’s on the phone or in the office. She always goes out of her way to make clients feel welcome and at ease. 

Client satisfaction is very important to Emma, it makes her happy to see clients leave the office with a smile.

When away from the office, Emma loves spending time with her husband, family & friends. She enjoys cooking and listening to music in her spare time. She is also very passionate about maintaining a healthy & active lifestyle.

Natalie McAvoy



Natalie began at AMP Advice Wayville 14 years ago as a part time administration assistant before moving on to become a fulltime Adviser Assistant. More recently she moved into the Receptionist role, which she felt is where her strength was as she loves dealing with people and making the best first impression possible. She enjoys making our clients feel welcome and special, both face to face and over the phone.

Natalie also enjoys being the office social/special occasion planner incorporating milestone birthdays, weddings, baby showers, Easter and especially Christmas (Kris Kringle) Also she enjoys fundraising for various charities.

Natalie enjoys spending time with her husband Gerry and son Matthew and with her family both here and interstate and her friends. She also enjoys travelling and photography and her goal is to go to Hawaii for her 50th birthday and while there renew her wedding vows.
