Steven has over 20 years’ experience in providing strategic financial advice, with a particular focus on maximising opportunities for people in their superannuation, constructing investment portfolios and ensuring assets and lifestyle are protected.

He is careful to prioritise the client’s understanding of their lifestyle goals and tailoring strategies and investments around them. These strategies draw from a strong background in superannuation, retirement planning, investment classes and themes such as, tax, social security and aged care.

Steven has worked within some of the largest Australian and international banks, advising on their client’s wealth goals. He is now based at our AMP Advice office in Docklands and looks forward to assisting people improve their financial planning needs.

Steven derives satisfaction from giving people the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are making the most of their financial resources and presents opportunities available to them which is steering them to a more certain financial future.

Steven is passionate about spending time with his family, and enjoying several outdoor pursuits, which includes coaching the local soccer team.

Michael Peros is a Private Client Adviser within the AMP Advice team. Prior to joining the team at AMP, Michael was the founder and Director of Clear Advantage Financial Group, a holistic financial advice business for clients specialising in the areas of Financial Planning, Self-managed Superannuation Funds, Retirement Planning and Aged Care advice. Michael has a strong technical background and over 12 years of experience across various senior roles within the Financial Advice industry.

Prior to entering the Financial Services industry, Michael studied Psychology and has a strong interest in combining the two fields of study by providing high-level financial advice with a strong emphasis on truly understanding clients’ needs and building strong relationships.

Priding himself in his high levels of customer service, communication skills and attention to detail, Michael has built a reputation of being a relationship-driven adviser who instils confidence in his clients by breaking down their financial solutions into easy to understand goals.

Karen joined the team in 2010 and has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services. She worked as a Financial Adviser with a Hillross practise in Sydney for nine years prior to relocating back to Melbourne, with extensive experience in wealth creation and preservation, cashflow management, retirement planning and Centrelink.

Karen derives satisfaction from building trusting relationships with clients which allows her to give them the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are making the most of their financial resources and opportunities, which is steering them to a more certain financial future.

Outside of the office, Karen’s time is divided between home renovations (which seem never ending) and raising her teenage daughter to be independent and resilient.

Nga has been working for AMP Advice Docklands over seven years in various roles administering client portfolios for advisers and clients invested in Generations/Summit/ipac/North products. As a Associate Adviser, Nga supports advisers with client engagement, assisting the implementation of advice with relation to superannuation, investment and insurance.  With extensive North product knowledge and expertise in administration, Nga has been able to build rapport with clients whilst effectively supporting advisers implement recommendations. 

Why financial advice?

Nga believes financial advice is an area young people rarely think and talk about as they feel retirement is too far away to consider now. It is imperative to educate and motivate people to set up a strong financial foundation, so that the road to retirement is seamless. 

What's their goal?

Nga is looking forward to broadening technical knowledge in financial planning, to travel more, increase personal volunteer efforts and develop on a passion for cooking.

Financial advice and financial services suits Julie’s skill set. She enjoys speaking with clients and providing advisers with support. Julie always wanted to study Commerce when she was at school and ensured that she undertook the prerequisite subjects at school to study Commerce at University. After majoring in Finance, Economics and Financial Planning, she then pursued the financial planning industry.

Outside the office Julie enjoys running, cycling, swimming and triathlon.

Patrick has worked for a variety of institutions over the past decade, including boutique financial planning firms, the big four banks, industry super funds and large financial planning organisations. In this time, he has gained expertise in a range of different sectors, specialising in financial planning and management. Having first joined AMP in 2014, Patrick has most recently been afforded the opportunity to lead the Private Client Advisers throughout Victoria, ACT and Southern NSW.

Patrick loves working in financial planning. He has been fortunate enough to work across a number of different organisations in a range of roles. Patrick has found that no matter where you work, or in what capacity, the best of us are all trying to achieve the same thing; Place as many Australians as we can in their best possible position.

Patrick’s wife tells him he has three great passions in life: family, work and football. As she knows him better than he knows himself, he’ll have to agree. When he is not at work he is usually carting one of his three children to their various activities or staying true to his passions and watching the Melbourne Football Club or Liverpool in the Premier League.

Vanessa’s first job in Australia was with a boutique financial firm based in Brunswick where she assisted the two Directors with Tax Services & Financial Planning. She worked here for 2 years before she decided to move to city and work in a bigger company. 

She joined AMP Advice Docklands in 2011 and has been working as a Client Relationship Manager assisting with maintaining client relationships and providing support to Private Client Advisers.

Having worked for 20 years in the customer servicing environment, Vanessa’s dealings with clients are professional & compassionate.

Why financial advice?

Vanessa has a personal interest in managing her finances well as she made one of her biggest investments of life when she built her first home in 2011. She wanted to work in an industry where she could learn how this can be achieved and help others do the same.

What's their goal?

Vanessa is currently doing her Diploma in Financial Planning and is keen to do well in achieving a high grade.

She loves travelling and her next big trip will be to America to visit her older sister who she hasn’t seen in 10 years.

Vanessa’s passion is certainly anything to do with food. She loves cooking and feeding others. Her dream is to be able to start up her own business in catering.

Before joining AMP Advice Docklands, Teresa worked for nab, initially in its Business Banking Centre, from where she moved to Retail Operations serving Corporate customers.  Looking for a more challenging role, Teresa opted to join the Financial Planning sector of the Bank working with senior Financial Advisers, where she worked for several years gaining a wealth of experience.

Prior to moving to Australia, Teresa worked both in Dubai and India, in senior and executive support roles. 

Why financial advice?

Teresa enjoys working in the financial services environment dealing with clients on a day to day basis assisting the Adviser in helping people realise their dreams and achieve their goals. It provides her with opportunities to enhance her knowledge of the superannuation and pension environment, while continually learning new processes and systems. Teresa comes to work each day as she finds it a rewarding, challenging and meaningful experience, with never a dull moment.

The purpose of her role as receptionist/concierge is to provide exceptional customer service throughout the customer’s end-to-end experience, making people feel comfortable and at ease.
As a concierge, Lori will be one of the first points of contact when you contact the office as well as proactively contacting clients to arrange appointments with respective advisors.

Lori’s background in the travel industry has given her great opportunities to travel extensively and understands the importance of having your financial future in order to be able to fulfill lifelong goals.
