Revised Superannuation Guarantee Contribution Schedule

The timeframe for increasing Superannuation Guarantee (SG) contributions to 12% has again been revised by the government and will now remain at 9.5% until 30 June 2021, gradually increasing to 12% from 1 July 2025.

SG contributions must be made on employee's ordinary time earnings (OTE) which is the amount an employee earns during ordinary hours of work. It will include elements like commissions, shift-loadings and allowances but not overtime payments.
