AMP's Amplify Ignite competition is a one-night-only, PhD pitch night that will be held at Sydney's The Basement on Tuesday 6 June 2017. Sponsored by MinterEllison, with Russel Howcroft, PwC, as MC, Ignite will see twenty exceptional PhD students from across the country battle it out for a shot at a share in over $25,000 in prizes.

One of the most popular events on the Amplify calendar, Ignite is a dynamic, fascinating evening of rapid-fire pitches. Students have just 150 seconds to present their ideas in front of a live audience and judging panel of senior executives. This is one event you won't want to miss!

  • $1000 Australian Dollars, for each of the 20 finalists.
  • A further $5000 Grand Prize.
  • A special $1000 'People's Choice Prize'.

About the Ignite program

The Amplify Ignite program is an initiative forming part of AMPs commitment to help everyday Australians achieve their goals. PhD students all across Australia have the chance to win a share in over $25k to help further their research.

Sometimes the biggest challenge faced is having the confidence and ability to translate a complex idea into everyday language, and having the skills to think outside the box and deliver an engaging pitch can often be the key to opening doors. Whether on stage or in the boardroom, delivery and timing is everything!
