How will I help today?

Our company was founded in 1849 on a simple promise: to provide financial security so people could live with dignity. In today’s language, we call that promise “helping people own tomorrow”.

Most of our customers know what sort of tomorrow they want. Often it’s quite modest. Owning their own home sooner. Having some support in tough times. Helping their children have a better start to life. Setting themselves up for a comfortable retirement.

But actually doing it seems to get more and more complicated. Many of our customers don’t know how to get from their today to the tomorrow they want. This is where they’d welcome our help.

And that’s what we’re all committed to doing, every one of us, every day. We come to work to help our customers, or to help a colleague help our customers. We know that when we do this well, we make a real difference to people’s lives. And that’s very rewarding, not just for the sense of confidence we can give to our customers, but for the broader impacts in the communities we touch, right across Australia and New Zealand.
