Templetons was formed in 1982, and quickly grew to be highly regarded, with many in the business and professional communities throughout Australia electing to use its services. Over the years Templetons has expanded its services to include investment, personal and corporate superannuation, aged care and mortgage advice services, and is now a dynamic organisation committed to serving its clients in their journey to long term success and sustainability.

As one of the Principals in Templetons Financial, Craig is responsible for the business’ provision of quality Credit Advice.

Craig brings over 20 years of experience in Business Management and Finance to the team. As a Principal, Craig is responsible for the lending side of the business. Over more than a decade as a Credit Adviser, Craig has helped thousands of clients achieve home ownership - be it their first home, construction, restructure of their existing finances, or assistance with the purchase of investment properties. These skills and experience ensure the right finance solutions are provided to his clients and combined with the Templetons systems and administration support, this ensures a smooth, seamless transition during what is normally a stressful time in people’s lives.

Eric Chong

Eric graduated from Canterbury University and has over 15 years of SME as well as corporate experience in financial advisory businesses in New Zealand and Australia. He was the Managing Director of a financial advisory practice he founded in 2004 that had over 40 advisers. Prior to Templetons, he facilitated and drove the growth in one of New Zealand’s largest financial advisory dealer groups. Eric’s success in these businesses illustrates his ability to proficiently utilise specialist knowledge and experience to innovate and improve an organisation’s ability to exceed agreed objectives and business growth.

Eric is involved in the general management of all facets in Templetons eg. mergers and acquisition. project management, human resource, operations, strategic planning, management of business plans as well as system developments. He believes in having a dynamic management style that embraces empathy and integrity, whilst growing the business organically through performance and development of internal staff.


With Corporate Services, Eric works with Employers in designing customised Employee Benefit Framework that delivers the desired financial services that promotes Financial Wellness. His goal is to ensure the Employee engagement process is delivering information, education, prompt service and attention.

John Miller

Consultant

Bio

John Miller was one of the founders of the Templetons Group in 1982. John’s previous role was providing life and disability insurance, income protection and estate planning advice which he had been doing since 1971. His experience and knowledge of the Templetons client base, together with his knowledge of the many insurance products in the market through years of experience, has proven to be invaluable, especially when dealing with insurers on behalf of the clients.

John is now a Consultant to Templetons, providing guidance and industry knowledge to help develop Templetons staff as well as assisting the business to continually grow.

Before joining Templetons Jay was a Practice Principal and Director at another AMP Financial Planning practice. He is a specialist adviser in Corporate Superannuation. He has been in the Financial Services industry since 2003. He manages financial portfolios for employers and private clients with tailored financial planning advice and strategic guidance across a range of financial services and products.

Bio

Tim has worked in the Financial Services industry for 20 years.  After commencing in administration for Superannuation funds in 1996 he advanced to senior roles prior to relocating to London in 2000 where he worked for large UK investment houses Foreign and Colonial and Invesco.  Upon returning to Australia in 2003 he returned to working with large industry Superannuation funds while studying Financial Planning, He has been a Financial Adviser since 2006 and has been with Templetons Financial since 2007.

Tim enjoys providing holistic advice to clients at all stages of their life.

Tim proudly supports the Queensland Cancer Council Pro Bono Program where he works with clients to assist with their financial situation.

He is passionate about Financial Planning Industry and has been a Board member of the AMPFPA QLD Chapter since 2014.  He is also currently on the AMPFPA Practice Consultancy Group.

During Andrew’s time in the industry, he has been a passionate advocate for his clients during insurance claims, attempting to achieve the best outcome possible for the client. Prior to joining the financial services industry, Andrew also had over 8 years of experience in successfully running small businesses.

Angus has worked in the financial services industry for over twelve years, including five years of accounting in Sydney. He then worked as a compliance analyst for J.P. Morgan in Sydney, before relocating to Brisbane early in 2012. With this came a move to financial planning to pursue a career that fulfils his love of engaging with people, and then helping them uncover, then reach their financial outcomes. 

Angus prides himself on the focus of high quality delivery, building trust and developing concrete relationships. He was awarded the Benjamin Short prize by AMP’s Horizons Academy which is based on results and peer nomination, and this momentum has carried in his financial planning career.

Aaron started out in the finance world in 2008, starting his journey with Templetons Financial. After expanding his financial services experience via a short stint with Macquarie Bank, Aaron re-joined the Templetons Financial team to continue his financial planning career.

Aaron became an Authorised Representative of AMPFP after completing his Diploma in Financial Planning in November 2013. Continuing his thirst for knowledge, he then started studying again to complete a Certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking to become a Credit adviser. Aaron is now assisting clients with reaching their dream lending goals.

Pat O'Keeffe OAM

For the past 25 years, Pat has been a Financial Adviser in the business and as an Authorised Representative of AMP Financial Planning Pty Ltd. Up until 1979, Pat was a member of the Active Citizens Military Forces. Following his retirement he has been actively involved in the pursuit, recording and study of military history. During this time, he has overseen the establishment of a number of war museum and research centres including the establishment of the Qld Committee for the Battle of Australia Commemoration organisation. 

These endeavours led to Pat being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2003 “for service to veterans and their families, to the preservation of Australian military heritage and to the community”. Pat is passionate about looking after all of his clients and their family’s Financial Planning needs and is an Authorised Representative of AMP Financial Planning Pty Ltd.

 


Tim Howard

Tim started his finance career in 2006 at Aussie Home loans, followed by some years in the CBA group working in various lending, people management and business development roles. Tim also helped Coronis set up their mortgage broking business, prior to joining Templetons as a Credit Adviser.

He is passionate about educating clients on loan structure and finding the right lending solution based on their goals and objectives. Whether it is a first home purchase, construction, a restructure of existing finances, or the purchase of investment properties, Tim and the team at Templetons aim to provide excellent advice combined with the best client experience possible to ensure a smooth and seamless process.

Deb moved to Brisbane from Switzerland choosing a career in financial services, giving her the opportunity to develop her knowledge and expertise in financial planning. Deb was working at AMP Paraplanning before joining our practice as a Goals Coach.

She has a strong moral compass in that the clients’ best interest and goals are paramount. With her technical knowledge in financial planning, years of experience in paraplanning as well as client focus Deb strives to help our clients establish and achieve their goals and build long-term relationships.


Christine Alexander

Christine started her career in financial services at AMP over 30 years ago. Since then, she has been working in a number of successful financial advisory practices performing various roles from Client Services to Office Manager, as well as being the Corporate Super Administrator for approximately 15,000 Corporate Super members.

In Templetons, Christine looks after its Corporate Super Plans, liaising with employers as well as the members ensuring the smooth running and administration of these plans. She has an unwavering commitment to customer service, with the ability to build productive relationship and resolve complex issues.

Amy has been at Templetons for 5 years and has worked in a number of roles for the business, including Adviser Support, Servicing Adviser, Client Services and Loan Administrator. Prior to joining Templetons Amy spent a number of years at AXA Australia working in the Financial Protection Client Services team. 

Amy is now responsible for running the office, liaising with our data entry and outbound calling teams and Site Admin for our CRM. Amy has experience in the Finance industry in both New Zealand and Australia.

Michelle has had many years of experience in banking and finance, performing a variety of operations and team leader roles in Australia’s largest banks. 

She spent 19 years at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia working in Home Loan Document and Settlement areas. With Templetons Financial, Michelle is responsible for end-to-end support in the advice process for the Credit Advisers and processing of loans. Her passion is to provide a second to none customer service and she promotes a culture of high ‘customer focus’ within the team.

Rachel Kelly

Proudly Brisbane born and bred, Rachel has worked in Client Service and complex administration for almost 20 years. After graduating from University at the top of her class in 2013, she was determined to find a career that was both challenging and satisfying on a deeply personal level. This lead her to complete further studies in Financial Planning and has enabled her to find what she feels is her true calling. Rachel feels grateful to be able to go to work every day in an industry where she feels she can truly make a difference to the lives of her clients.

Templetons believes in giving back to the community, demonstrating its genuine care for clients and providing support when it is most needed. For instance, it is actively involved in the AMP Cancer Council Pro Bono Program. Through this program, cancer patients who are unable to afford financial advice are able to benefit from the expertise of Templetons’ financial advisers who donate their services free of charge.

Templetons is proud to support the pursuit, recording and study of military history.
