Are your personal details up to date?

As part of our ongoing reporting obligations we are required to send the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) customer details.  This includes details such as:

  • Full name
  • Address
  • Date of birth (DOB), and
  • Tax file number (TFN). 

A recent check of customer information that is on file with the ATO has identified customer records that do no match AMP’s records. 

If you’ve been contacted by AMP, you are likely to be one of those customers. 

Because your personal information is protected under the Privacy Act, we don’t know which details are different, so all of them must be confirmed. 

Why is this important?

Your AMP and ATO details need to match so the ATO can identify you, confirm your eligibility for Government payments and tax deductions for your super contributions or find your lost super.

Updating your personal details 

Make sure AMP and the ATO have your correct details in two steps:

1. Call AMP to check your details we hold match with the ATO.

Call AMP on 1300 137 267 to check your details. We can help you update them if they’re not correct.

Alternatively, you can update your details using the change of personal details form and TFN notification form at

2. Check and update your details at the ATO.

Make sure the follow details are correct:

  • Name
  • Tax File Number
  • Date of birth
  • Email
  • Address
  • Phone

Do this on MyGov at or call the ATO on 13 28 61.
