Recruitment stage

Getting to know you

A discussion with one of our recruitment specialists about your financial advice experience, career aspirations and we will provide you with an overview of our network and opportunities available.

Educational checks

If you are appointed in a financial adviser role under any of our AMP licensees it is expected that you hold the educational requirements for the role. At a minimum, we will need copies of all Academic transcripts & certificates you have obtained.

Gaining a deeper

understanding

We partner with Prova Profiling who develop personality & behavioural assessments, which provide us and you with detailed information on your personality, behavioural style and technical skills. You will also have the opportunity to have a debrief with our recruitment specialist who will talk you through your report.

Reviewing your Advice

& background history

To ensure that we are appointing financial advisers who have a strong, documented performance we request a copy of your last two audit reports (please ensure you delete any sensitive/confidential information in relation to clients from the report) and we have a discussion with the compliance manager at your current and previous licensees.

At this time we will also undertake background checks. This background check is completed by our partner First Advantage who will send you a link on email with information on how to complete the checks.

Appointment &

On-boarding

Upon satisfactory background and reference checks the Practice & Adviser Integration team will work with you to complete your on-boarding plan to ensure you have completed all the necessary steps and paperwork and you are ready to start your new role!

If you would like to be appointed as an Authorised Representative or Accredited Mortgage Consultant with one of our AMP licensees it is expected that you can demonstrate the minimum educational requirements. To check your qualifications we ask that you provide us with copies of all transcripts & certificates for relevant formal qualifications (transcripts are mandatory for RG146 to show that you have completed the relevant skills and can ‘provide advice in…’, certificates are mandatory to show the dates of completion).

Please ensure all certificates/transcripts display your name. If your name has changed, please show evidence of this with a copy of your marriage certificate or change of name certificate.

Your Recruitment Specialist can support you along the way to ensure you know what to provide.

For all vacancies you are required to provide the details of two referees for one behavioural & one compliance reference check. For the behavioural reference check we ask for the details of your previous manager. For the compliance reference check we ask for the details of the compliance manager of your previous workplace. Where you may have difficulties in obtaining these details, we will work with you to determine what checks we will require. We won’t contact your referees without your consent.

As part of the recruitment process, we will undertake a number of pre-employment checks. These checks include a Personal Identification Verification, Australian & international criminal history check, Bankruptcy and credit, ASIC Banned and Disqualified, Media Check and ASIC register.

We engage the services of First Advantage for our background checks. To complete your background check they will require 100 points of identification. Your birth certificate or passport counts towards 70 points with Driver’s license or ID cards accounting for 40 points. Please ensure you have certified copies of these.

Your Recruitment Specialist will let you know what information you will need to provide to ensure we can complete all checks quickly so your on-boarding is not delayed.

We aim to respond back to you within one week from the date you have applied for the role. In some instances there may be a delay due to unexpected circumstances such as the job being put on hold.
