External assessments of AMP's social responsibility performance

There are a number of external assessments that rate companies, particularly listed companies, on their social responsibility performance. These vary in their perspective and whether they or not they are voluntary and seek input from the company being assessed.

AMP completes surveys for the FTSE4Good index and Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which have an investment perspective, and is currently a constituent of both. We recognise that we will need to continue to improve our performance as the indices raise the bar and other companies improve their performance.

We also undertake validated self-assessment through the Corporate Responsibility Index yearly. The survey is completed in November and the results announced the following May.  Read the 2006 Corporate Responsibility Index results.
