A smaller environmental footprint
Increasing the efficiency of AMP's operations and reducing its environmental footprint.
- AMP interacts with the environment both directly and indirectly in a number of ways. This includes the use of property, natural resources and other materials, waste generation and transport to conduct our domestic and international operations. We aim to continually improve our direct impact on the environmental by:
- reducing our use of energy, water, paper and other materials
- including environmental considerations in our purchasing decisions
- reducing and disposing of waste responsibly and recycling more materials more efficiently
- reducing our transport and distribution impacts by using technology, where possible, to deliver information and services
- actively encouraging our suppliers and business partners to manage their impact on the environment.
- Over the past 12 months, we have taken a new approach to environmental management. We have continued to implement technologies that improve our environmental performance, such as energy efficient lighting and air-conditioning, and we have measured our impact in a number of ways. We are now moving to improve how we measure our impact so we can report these results and know what is working and what isn't.
