• AMP's suppliers include the owners of the buildings we work in, the companies that provide and maintain our computer equipment and consultants who supply specialist advice.
• Suppliers are integral to AMP's success. Beyond the direct purchase of goods and services, the speed of change in areas like technology means that it often makes sense for companies to outsource some parts of their operations to specialist companies.
• This means that we want our suppliers to be successful and to have long term, mutually beneficial relationships with us.
• Suppliers can also help us live up to our social responsibilities through applying social and environmental standards to their own operations and helping us to improve our performance.
• At the moment, we are working through ways to increase awareness among our suppliers about our commitment to our social responsibilities and we will provide more information on our approach to working with our suppliers
